Framing the Future; the Underrated Relevance of Framing for Effective Climate Action

In-Person

Before we can understand how language is relevant to effective climate action, we need to ask ourselves how language is relevant to our thinking and acting in general. Therefore, the first part of the workshop will focus on the psycho-linguistic basis of framing. We will discover what framing is and how it is an unconscious but crucial part of our initial understanding of the world that directly influences our daily actions. Part of this will include reflecting on the frames we personally use and how they mirror our respective political perspectives, cultures and experiences. Having explored the basics of this concept, we will turn to focus on its relevance for our work as activists and its importance for effective climate action.
