Environmental defenders conversation and workshop
A public workshop for anyone interested in the work of frontline environmental defenders, organised by campaign group Not1More, who support environmental defenders at risk of persecution. Participants will discuss the relationship between direct action and political agreements and disseminate their findings through hand-printed flyers.

Claudelice was a 2019 EU Sakarov Prize finalist and founder of the Zé Claudio e Maria Institute (IZM), named for her brother José Claudio Ribeiro da Silva and sister-in-law Maria do Espírito Santo, who were both killed in 2011 for their efforts to combat deforestation. Dr. Fran Lambrick: British academic, filmmaker and campaigner on environmental change and conflict, with a particular focus on Cambodia. Fran is Co-founder of Not1More and Producer and Director of the film, I am Chut Wutty, that tells the story of the murdered forest defender. Banned by the Cambodian government in 2016, the film was subsequently viewed over a million times online. With a DPhil in forestry from University of Oxford, Fran has experience working with large data sets and conducting action-oriented research.
